The Regional Spine Center at St. Elizabeth is based on a patient-focused model in which all aspects of the program are geared toward making patients as comfortable as possible during their hospital stay. The center is housed on St. Elizabeth’s sixth floor in an eight-bed, newly-renovated wing entirely devoted to spine care. The floor will also house the Kate Dishman Rehabilitation Hospital, which spine patients will use during their hospital stay.
Each patient has a private room in close proximity to the nurses’ station and a common area, which provides a place for interaction between patients and their family members. The center also offers specialized nurses who have undergone training specifically for caring for spine patients. These nurses only work in the CHRISTUS Regional Spine Center, which means patients will likely see and interact with the same Associates everyday during their hospital stay.
Personal attention, informed care.
Our registered nurse practitioner works with each patient to manage their case, schedule the appropriate diagnostic tests, and formulate a treatment plan based on their individual needs. After the initial screening, she will help coordinate appointments and referrals in a timely manner, keep the patient informed, and serve as an advocate for the patient’s needs.
Convenient, free parking is available at all CHRISTUS Hospital—St. Elizabeth and St. Mary locations, and complimentary valet parking is available at St. Elizabeth's main entrance.
