Radiofrequency tissue ablation

Radiologists from Beaumont Radiology Group specialize in radiofrequency tissue ablation, or RFA, treatment for patients with liver, bone, lung, and renal cancer.

RFA is a minimally invasive operation in which doctors use ultrasound or computed tomography (CT) images to guide a thin metal needle through the patient's skin into the tumor. Employing RFA, interventional radiologists attack the cancer tumor from inside the body, which lowers the risk to normal organs, and reduces recovery times and discomfort. Learn more.
