CHRISTUS Hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission under the Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals, and is fully licensed and certified by other federal, state and professional agencies and associations as follows:
Bariatric Surgery
CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Bariatric Center is accredited by the American Society of Bariatric Surgery, The Joint Commission under the Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Bariatric Surgery Centers, and the Texas Department of Health for Ambulatory Surgery Centers.
Behavioral Health Care
The CHRISTUS Hospital—St. Elizabeth Inspirations, a geriatric–psychiatric outpatient program, is accredited by The Joint Commission under the Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Behavioral Health Care.
Cancer
The CHRISTUS Mamie McFaddin-Ward Cancer Center on the St. Elizabeth campus in Beaumont is the only facility in Jefferson County that is accredited by the American College of Surgeons as a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program.
Chest Pain Center
CHRISTUS Hospital—St. Elizabeth is accredited by the National Society of Chest Pain Centers as a Chest Pain Center.
Diabetes Education
The CHRISTUS Hospital—St. Elizabeth and St. Mary Diabetes Lifestyle Program is recognized by the American Diabetes Association and is the only program in the area that is accredited by the Joint Commission as a Disease Specific Care Certified Program. Learn more about our program.
Laboratory
At CHRISTUS Hospital—St. Elizabeth, the MOHS dermatology clinic and Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) labs are accredited by The Joint Commission under the Comprehensive Accreditation Manual Laboratory and Point of Care Testing.
Pathology
- The main laboratories at CHRISTUS Hospital—St. Elizabeth and St. Mary are accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
- The Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) lab at CHRISTUS Hospital—St. Mary is also accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Program
- CHRISTUS Hospital—St. Elizabeth is the only program in the area that is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).
Radiology
- CHRISTUS Hospital—St. Elizabeth is accredited by the American College of Radiology for mammography & ultrasound including vascular.
- CHRISTUS Hospital—St. Mary is accredited by the American College of Radiology for mammography & ultrasound including vascular.
Trauma
- CHRISTUS Hospital—St. Elizabeth is certified by the Texas Department of State Health Service as a General Level 3 Trauma Facility
- CHRISTUS Hospital—St. Mary is certified by the Texas Department of State Health Service as a General Level 4 Trauma Facility.
